Mother Goose on the Loose continues to be a fun and engaging weekly program for toddlers and their caregivers, filled with stories, songs, and movement that support early learning. Thank you to the Morford family for bringing baby goats to the library for the March 25 Mother Goose on the Loose storytime. Gamers’ Guild will meet on Mondays, April 6, 13, 20, and 27 at 4:00 pm for Dungeons and Dragons adventures and Nintendo Switch games. It’s a great opportunity for kids and teens to build creativity, teamwork, and friendships in a relaxed and welcoming environment. New players are always welcome.
Progress on the Library of Things continues as we expand and improve our collection! We now have a streamlined jigsaw puzzle cataloging system, thoughtfully designed by Rachel to make it quick and easy to add new puzzles and check them out with minimal hassle. We’re excited to keep growing this collection and providing even more hands-on resources for our community!
We are pleased to announce two new appointments to the library’s Board of Trustees. Western Wayne Schools has appointed Kim Pattison to a four-year term beginning May 1, 2026, and the Wayne County Commissioners have appointed Bryan Owens to a four-year term beginning April 1, 2026. We warmly welcome Kim and Bryan and look forward to their leadership and support of the library.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Elaine Potter, as her term will end in April. We thank Elaine for her many years of dedicated service and commitment to the library and our community. Her contributions have made a lasting impact, and she will be greatly appreciated as she concludes her time on the Board.
