Dear Friends,
As the year comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude for the community that helps make our mission possible. Every gift to Cope Environmental Center (CEC) nurtures something truly special, opportunities for children and adults alike to step away from screens and reconnect with the wonders of the natural world.
Your support helps create experiences where curiosity flourishes outdoors. Where a child can wander a forest trail, turn over a log to discover a salamander, or listen to the call of a red-winged blackbird across the wetland. Each year, thousands of area students visit CEC on field trips that transform classroom lessons into hands-on learning. They meet our animal ambassadors, learn how to identify trees, collect sap to make maple syrup, explore the importance of clean wetlands, and so much more.
Your generosity also helps bring the “wild” to those who can’t easily come to us. Through outreach programs to local senior living centers, residents who have limited access to nature can still experience the joy of touching a turtle shell, smelling fresh pine needles, or learning about the wildlife that shares their community.
Beyond our programs, four miles of peaceful walking trails remain open and free to the public year-round, an invitation for everyone to find inspiration and renewal in nature.
At CEC, our mission is to promote the sustainable use of Earth’s resources through education and demonstration. We believe that by providing opportunities for people of all ages to connect with the natural world, we can foster a shared commitment to sustainability and help secure a healthy, thriving future for all life on Earth.
As you consider your year-end giving, please help us continue this vital work. Your gift today will ensure that CEC remains a place where discovery, learning, and stewardship come together, one trail walk, one classroom visit, one meaningful connection at a time.
Thank you for helping us inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
With gratitude,
Marcy Crull
