Big news from Cope Environmental Center–
Cope Environmental Center is proud to share that we’ve officially paid off the construction loan for our Certified Living Building—a major milestone made possible by incredible support.
To celebrate this achievement, we recently welcomed donors and community partners to a special Open House in recognition of their role in helping us reach this goal. Their generosity and belief in our mission have strengthened our foundation and our future.
With the loan behind us, we’re ready to invest even more into environmental education, conservation, and community engagement.

We are excited to partner with My Home Park for an online native plant sale running from April 1 through May 31! By choosing native plants, you’ll create a vibrant, eco-friendly habitat that supports pollinators, enhances biodiversity, and helps local wildlife thrive. Plus, proceeds from the sale will directly support Cope’s mission to educate and engage the community in environmental stewardship.

Trail Safety & No Smoking Policy
|
Last week, a fire broke out on our property. Thankfully, it was contained quickly before causing serious damage. While the cause is unknown, it’s a strong reminder why we ask all visitors to stay on designated trails and respect our no smoking policy.
These simple actions help protect the land, wildlife, and everyone who visits.
A big thank you to the individual who reported the fire, those who assisted our staff, and the Centerville and Abington Volunteer Fire Departments for their fast response.

Thank you for supporting Cope Environmental Center and helping us inspire a deeper connection with nature and sustainability. Your generosity allows us to provide environmental education and create meaningful experiences for our community.
We appreciate all that you do to make our mission possible
