This presentation will delve into their creative journey and the legacy they left behind.
This October, both the Evening Book Club and Senior Center Book Club will discuss James by Percival Everett. James is a powerful retelling of Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, but this time told from the perspective of the slave, Jim, who journeys with Huck. Everett’s novel offers a fresh, thought-provoking take on this classic, exploring themes of freedom, identity, and the complexities of human relationships. , The Evening club meets Tuesday, October 22 at 6:30 pm, and the Senior group meets Wednesday, October 23 at 1:00 pm.

Suicide Prevention Training – QPR Institute
On Wednesday, October 9 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Elisa Worland from Wayne County Purdue Extension will present a QPR Institute Suicide Prevention Training. This important session teaches participants how to recognize the signs of suicide, offer hope, and connect people to the help they need. Recommended for teens and adults.
Every Wednesday at 11:00 am, Mother Goose on the Loose brings joy to toddlers and caregivers with stories, rhymes, songs, and fun. It’s a great way to engage your little ones in early literacy and socialization.
Gamers’ Guild will meet on Mondays, October 14, 21, and 28 at 4:00 pm for more Dungeons and Dragons adventures. Designed for ages 9-17.
