We are thrilled to announce a new donation from David Overbeck, grandson of Charles Overbeck. Thank you David!
In September, we’re hosting a history tour for Western Wayne Elementary 2nd graders, where they’ll explore the library, our History Room, and the Overbeck Museum. Thanks to Jill and our volunteers, these spaces are looking better than ever following our recent carpeting project.
Bob Ammerman, an expert on the Overbeck legacy, will give a special presentation on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 5:30 pm, sponsored by Western Wayne Heritage.
Our Evening Book Club will meet on Tuesday, September 24th, at 6:30 pm to discuss “Someone Else’s Shoes” by Jojo Moyes, a novel about the unexpected bond between two women after a life-changing mix-up.
The Senior Center Book Club will gather on Wednesday, September 25th, at 1:00 pm at the Senior Center to discuss “The Book of Lost Friends” by Lisa Wingate, a powerful story about the search for family and freedom in post-Civil War America.
New members are always welcome.
