Get ready for a frightfully fun time at the Cambridge City Public Library’s “Not-So-Scary Halloween” event on Monday, October 23 at 6:00 PM! This spooktacular gathering promises an evening of delightful Halloween festivities suitable for all ages, so bring the whole family for a ghoulishly good time.
Our lineup includes spine-tinglingly catchy spooky songs, a thrilling costume parade where your little ones can show off their creative outfits, engaging and imaginative crafts to get into the Halloween spirit, and, of course, some delectable snacks to satisfy those sweet cravings.
This event is recommended for pre-K through elementary school-age children, but we welcome all who wish to join in the Halloween fun. So mark your calendars and come dressed in your Halloween best for an unforgettable evening of Not-So-Scary Halloween delights at the Cambridge City Public Library. October Book Clubs
Our Evening Book Club is back in action! On Tuesday evening, October 24, at 6:30 PM, we will dive deep into the world of “The Librarian of Burned Books” by Brianna Labuskes. On Wednesday, October 25, at 1:00 PM, join us at the Senior Center at the Golay to discuss “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. This witty and heartwarming novel tells the story of a brilliant scientist navigating the challenges of the 1960s while trying to balance her career and personal life. “Lessons in Chemistry” is a delightful blend of humor and insight, making it a fantastic topic of conversation. Switch it Up Gaming Club meets on October 4th, 18th, and 25th at 4 pm. Tweens and teens are invited to participate in multi-player games like Mario Cart, Minecraft, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate on the library’s Nintendo Switch. The library’s Nintendo Switch was a gift from the Friends of the Cambridge City Public Library.
The adventure continues! Join our Gamers’ Guild and conquer the world of Dungeons and Dragons! They will meet on the 9th and 23th at 3:30 pm to play Dungeons and Dragons. Recommended for ages 9-17.
Bring your little ones to our Mother Goose On The Loose story time every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Kim will entertain your child with delightful stories, songs, rhymes, and music. This interactive story time is suitable for all ages and no registration is required.
The Cambridge City Coding Club meets Thursdays, October 5, 19, and 26 at 4:00 pm to learn coding skills together and to design cool stuff!
