April Book Clubs
The Cambridge City Public Library offers two book clubs in April for book lovers of all ages. The Senior Center book club will meet on April 26th at 1:00 pm to discuss “The Light Between Oceans” by M. L. Stedman. This historical fiction novel tells the story of a lighthouse keeper and his wife who live on a remote island off the coast of Australia and the moral dilemma they face when a boat carrying a dead man and a living baby washes ashore.
Meanwhile, the Evening Book Club will gather on April 25th at 6:30 pm to review “The Lighthouse Keeper’s Daughter” by Hazel Gaynor. This fictional tale is inspired by the true story of Grace Darling, the daughter of a lighthouse keeper who became a Victorian heroine after rescuing survivors of a shipwreck. Both books offer captivating stories with intricate characters that will leave readers eager to join the discussion.
