We are excited to host an Art Opening on Friday, August 7 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm to celebrate the art of Nilah Tipton, Cambridge City artist. Ms. Tipton’s work will be on display during the month of August.
Nilah Tipton is an Indiana oil painter whose work celebrates the quiet, enduring beauty of the places and
companions that shape everyday life. Her paintings often focus on barns softened by time, older country
churches, covered bridges, ocean horizons, and the pets that feel like family. Through warm color,
gentle light, and a sense of stillness, she brings these scenes to life in a way that invites viewers to pause and breathe. Her goal is to preserve meaningful places and moments, capturing their spirit, history, and comfort found in their beauty to bring emotions and memories that feel like home for the viewer.
Nilah creates with a steady, quiet joy, grateful for the chance to share her work with others. She hopes her paintings offer a moment of calm or familiarity to anyone who needs it, and she enjoys sharing both her art and the stories behind it with those who appreciate quiet, meaningful pieces.
