From peaceful walks on the trails and exciting evening adventures to hands-on nature programs and family activities, there are countless ways to enjoy the beauty of summer together. Whether you’re exploring the outdoors for the first time or continuing a favorite summer tradition, Cope is the place to gather, discover, and celebrate the season all month long.

Returning this summer, The Great Outdoors Celebration: A Night in the Wild invites guests to step into a woodland speakeasy tucked beneath the trees for an unforgettable evening of mystery, music, and adventure. Lanterns will light the night as jazz melodies drift through the forest, guests gather around the fire for storytelling with Dave Jetmore, and dance instructors teach the lively steps of the Charleston.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy delicious catering by Radford’s, two immersive speakeasy-style bars, awards presentations, and a playful interactive mystery experience, The Case of the Missing…that unfolds throughout the night.
With surprises around every corner, A Night in the Wild promises an evening filled with atmosphere, entertainment, and celebration in support of Cope Environmental Center.

Closed Briefly While We Reset for New Campers!

The Living Building at Cope Environmental Center will be closed Thursday, July 2 as our staff prepares and refreshes the space between summer camp sessions, and Friday, July 3 in observance of the 4th of July holiday.
Our trails and outdoor spaces remain open dawn to dusk for you to enjoy nature with family and friends over the holiday weekend. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back soon!
