April 4th: Indiana Hunter Education
Location: Wayne County Fairgrounds – Exhibit Building

When:
Saturday, April 4, 2026
8:00am – 7:00pm

Indiana Hunter Education Courses will provide instruction in the areas of safe firearm use and handling while hunting, as well as in the home, hunter ethics and responsibility, game identification, and conservation management. Anyone born after December 31, 1986 is required to be certified in Hunter Education before they can purchase a hunting license.

April 10th & 11th: BRC Global Pope’s Birthday Bully Bash 6
Location: First Bank Expo Hall

The Birthday Bully bash is now a 2 day event
Friday will be 2 sanction shows and a fun show doors open at 5pm show at 7pm
Saturday 5 sanction shows and fun show plus a stack off doors open at 10am show at noon

April 11th: HELP The Animals Spring Vaccination Clinic

April 15th: Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce Hiring & Intern Fair 2026
Location: First Bank Kuhlman Center

The Hiring Fair is intended to give high school seniors with no post-graduate plans the opportunity to meet with Wayne County businesses.  Seniors who interview and accept a job offer from a Wayne County business will have a Signing Day.

The Intern Fair is NEW this year, this piece has been added so employers can meet with students to interview them for either an upcoming Summer internship or for the following 2026-27 school year.  This group of students will be current, Juniors.

The Public Hiring Fair will be be available from 2:30 to 4:00 pm.

April 18th: Fire/EMS BBQ Smoke-Off
Location: First Bank Kuhlman Center

Join us for a day of community, competition, and incredible food at the Fire/EMS BBQ Smoke-Off! Taking place on April 18th starting at 3 PM at the Kuhlman Center within the Wayne County Fairgrounds, this event brings together local heroes and BBQ enthusiasts for a great cause. For a $20 door fee, you can enjoy samples from all contestants, with $10 full plates also available. The day features a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting Chris Johnston and his family in his battle against brain cancer, while remaining proceeds will support the Scotty Adams Scholarship Fund for Redline EMS textbooks and fees. Beyond the food, don’t miss the high-action extrication and CPR Mega Code demos, plus a THL equipment booth on site.
