The Evening Book Club will meet on Tuesday, January 27 at 6:30 pm to discuss Becoming Madam Secretary by Stephanie Dray. This compelling historical novel brings to life the remarkable story of Frances Perkins, the first woman to serve in a U.S. presidential cabinet. Set against the backdrop of the Great Depression, the book explores Perkins’s determination, political savvy, and quiet strength as she works alongside President Franklin D. The Senior Center Book Club will meet on Wednesday, January 28 at 1:00 pm at the Senior Center at the Golay to discuss The Baker’s Secret by Stephen Kiernan. Set in a small French village during World War II, this moving novel tells the story of a determined baker who risks everything to protect a young refugee from the Nazis. Blending courage, compassion, and moral choice, The Baker’s Secret is a powerful reminder of how ordinary people can perform extraordinary acts of bravery in times of great danger.

Mother Goose on the Loose continues into the new year with fun-filled storytimes on Wednesdays, January 7, 14, 21, and 28 at 11:00 am. Toddlers and their caregivers are invited to enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, and movement activities that support early literacy and social development.
Gamers’ Guild will meet on Mondays, January 5, 12, and 26 at 4:00 pm for creative adventures with Dungeons & Dragons and time to unwind with Nintendo Switch games. Open to ages 9–17, this program offers a welcoming space for imagination, teamwork, and fun.
