Join us for a festive Christmas Craftpalooza Open House on Monday, December 8 from 5:30–7:30 pm! Families are invited to enjoy an evening filled with holiday cheer, including crafts, seasonal stories, carols, and cookie decorating. We even hear that Mrs. Claus herself plans to stop by for a special visit! Bring your holiday spirit and join us for a night of fun and creativity at the library!

The Senior Center Book Club will meet on Wednesday, December 17 at 1:00 pm at the Senior Center at the Golay to discuss Christmas by the Book by Anne Marie Ryan. This heartwarming novel follows a devoted couple in a small British village who are facing the heartbreaking possibility of closing the beloved bookshop they’ve operated for thirty years. Determined to bring a bit of holiday hope to their community, they begin delivering books to neighbors who could use some extra joy during the season. Their simple acts of kindness spark unexpected connections and remind everyone of the magic that stories—and generosity—can bring.

The Evening Book Club will meet on Tuesday, December 9 at 6:30 pm at the library to discuss Marley by Jon Clinch. This imaginative prequel to Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol tells the untold story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s infamous business partner, Jacob Marley. Rich with atmosphere and Victorian intrigue, Marley explores themes of greed, redemption, and the haunting cost of choices made in life. It’s the perfect seasonal read to spark lively discussion as we head into the holidays.
