Find the Fossils!

Dear WayneCounty.info,

We invite you to this spring’s Fossil Hunting Eco Tour! Our familiar tour guide, Koen Arthaud-Day, will lead us to the creeks and streams that run through the back campus of Earlham College.

Richmond, Indiana, is known as a wonderful place to find fossils of ancient sea creatures that lived over 400 million years ago! We will find fossils together and learn cool tips on how to find fossils and places to look for them.

When: Saturday, April 19th, 2 – 3:30 pm

Where: Meet at Sadler Stadium Parking Lot (Earlham College Baseball Field). To get to the stadium from National Road West, turn onto College Ave. Turn left onto SW G St, then right onto SW 5th St. Make a right onto Earlham Drive.

Tip: Please wear comfortable shoes for walking up to two miles in the woods. For optional creek walking, wear/bring shoes that can get wet. Stay tuned to our social media for rain/weather updates.

The Fossil Hunting Eco-Tour is FREE and open to all individuals, students, and families!

Curious to learn more? You can reach the museum at [email protected] or (765)-983-1303. We look forward to hearing from you!
