50 Over 50 Vol. 2 – Susanna Tanner

Extensive marketing and publication design experience has helped Susanna skillfully apply her art expertise to her shooting style, providing exquisite photography for every client that she partners with. It’s a personal alchemy—equal parts motion, contrast, light, a balance of simplicity and depth, and finding the essence of people—that makes her images art.

Susanna Tanner founded the 50 Over 50 Project to celebrate and elevate the stories of women over 50, showcasing a diverse group of women of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and life experiences. The project was created to challenge societal misconceptions that women in this age group are no longer beautiful by mainstream standards or are less capable than their younger counterparts. Tanner’s goal was to emphasize that beauty, wisdom, and vitality only grow with age, and to showcase the richness of life after 50.

The 50 Over 50 Project has sparked important conversations around self-perception, beauty, and the continued potential of women at every stage of life. As part of the project’s next steps, 50 Over 50 Vol. 2 will be launching soon, offering six scholarships to nominated women. In conjunction with the launch, a coffee table book titled The Wisdom Collective will feature images and stories from both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Tanner expressed her excitement about the upcoming collection, saying, “I’m excited about this for our community as it will be a tangible way to showcase the women and their stories in one, easy-to-access collection.”
