In January, both the Evening and Senior Center Book Clubs will explore Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan, a heartfelt and enchanting story about family, imagination, and the power of stories to transform lives. Set in 1950, the novel follows Megs Devonshire, a logical and driven Oxford student, as she embarks on a quest to uncover the inspirations behind C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Encouraged by her ailing younger brother George, Megs uncovers a tale of love, loss, and discovery that changes them both forever.

The Evening Book Club will meet on Tuesday, January 28, at 6:30 PM at the library, while the Senior Center Book Club will gather on Wednesday, January 29, at 1:00 PM at the Senior Center. Join us to discuss this magical and moving novel!

Join us for Mother Goose on the Loose, an engaging early literacy program for little ones and their caregivers. Sessions will take place on Wednesdays at 11:00 AM throughout January. With stories, songs, and rhymes, this interactive program is perfect for fostering a love of reading and learning in young children. We’re excited to see our group growing—come and be part of the fun!

Calling all adventurers! The Gamers’ Guild will meet on January 13, 20, and 27 at 4:00 PM to play Dungeons & Dragons. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, come ready to roll the dice and embark on epic quests with fellow players. Recommended for ages 9–17, this is the perfect chance to unleash your imagination and join the adventure!
