Kanopy

The Cambridge City Public Library is excited to offer Kanopy, a streaming video service, with a selection especially for our patrons. We purchased access to streaming videos, including award-winning movies and critically acclaimed films, documentaries, and television series. We also purchased a collection of children’s videos available for streaming that have been hand-selected for educational and entertainment value.

Family-Game-Night

To mark the exciting occasion of International Games Month, we are thrilled to invite you to an evening of amusement and camaraderie at our Family Games Night! Scheduled for Monday, November 27 at 5:30 pm, the event promises an array of engaging and interactive games tailored for all ages. Delight in popular favorites such as “Cards Against Humanity—Family Edition,” the adrenaline-pumping “ThrowThrow Burrito,” and the captivating “Star Trek: Chrono-Trek.” An enjoyable gathering for the whole family awaits! Both book clubs are taking a break until next month due to book delivery issues. Get a head start on your Christmas shopping to free up reading time in December!

The Cambridge City Coding Club meets Thursdays, November 2, 9, and 16 at 4:00 pm to learn coding skills together and to design cool stuff!

 

Switch it Up Gaming Club meets on November 1, 8, and 15 at 4 pm. Tweens and teens are invited to participate in multi-player games like Mario Cart, Minecraft, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate on the library’s Nintendo Switch. There are plenty of game turns for everyone! The library’s Nintendo Switch was a gift from the Friends of the Cambridge City Public Library.

 

The campaign continues! Join our Gamers’ Guild and conquer the world of Dungeons and Dragons! The group will meet on the 6th and 20th at 3:30 pm to play. Recommended for ages 9-17.

Bring your little ones to our Mother Goose On The Loose story time every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Kim will entertain your child with delightful stories, songs, rhymes, and music. This interactive story time is suitable for all ages and no registration is required.

On Monday, December 18 at 6:00 pm, get ready for a magical Holiday Craftpalooza featuring none other than Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves! Join us for a fun-filled evening of crafting and holiday cheer.

 

Then, on Wednesday, December 20 from 7-8 pm, don’t miss the enchanting Solid Brass Christmas Concert. Get into the spirit of the season as the melodious sounds of brass instruments fill the air with the classic tunes of Christmas. Make sure to save these dates for a joyous celebration and heartwarming moments.
