Join us for the July book clubs at the Cambridge City Public Library. We’ve got two fantastic discussions lined up for you.

The Evening Book Club will be meeting at the library to discuss “The Lake House” by Kate Morton on Tuesday, July 25 at 6:30 pm. In this gripping tale, a missing child, a mysterious house, and a family secret that spans decades come together to create an atmospheric and suspenseful story. Join us as we unravel the secrets of “The Lake House” and discuss its mesmerizing twists and turns.

The Senior Center Book Club will be meeting at the Golay Senior Center on Wednesday, July 26 at 1:00 pm to discuss “The Giver of Stars” by Jojo Moyes. Set in Depression-era America, this heartwarming novel follows a group of extraordinary women who travel through the mountains of Kentucky, delivering books to those who need them. “The Giver of Stars” is a tale of friendship, resilience, and the transformative power of literature. Come and share your thoughts on this inspiring story.

Don’t miss out on these awesome book club meetings. Whether you’re an evening owl or a daytime adventurer, we’ve got you covered. Grab your copy at the circulation desk, mark your calendars, and get ready to share your thoughts with fellow book enthusiasts.

Switch it Up Gaming Club meets on Wednesdays July 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 4:00 pm. Tweens and teens are invited to participate in multi-player games like Mario Cart, Minecraft, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate on the library’s Nintendo Switch.  Participating in multi-player video games with other players in the same room instead of virtually helps develop social skills and teamwork skills.  The library’s Nintendo Switch was a gift from the Friends of the Cambridge City Public Library.

The adventure continues! Join our Gamers’ Guild and immerse yourself in the world of Dungeons and Dragons! They will meet on Mondays in July (3, 17, 31) to play Dungeons and Dragons. Recommended for ages 9-17.

Bring your little ones to our Mother Goose On The Loose story time every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Kim will entertain your child with delightful stories, songs, rhymes, and music. This interactive story time is suitable for all ages and no registration is required.
