We’ve got two fantastic clubs lined up for June, and we’re excited to share the captivating books they’ll be discussing!

First up, the Evening Book Club will be meeting on Tuesday, June 27 at 6:30 pm at the library. They’ll be diving into the pages of “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. This novel takes you on a thrilling journey filled with science, romance, and unexpected discoveries. Join the club as they unravel the story, analyze the characters, and share their thoughts on this gripping tale. It’s bound to be an evening brimming with intellectual discussions and shared enthusiasm for great literature.

If heartfelt books are more your style, we’ve got you covered with the Senior Center Book Club. They’re meeting on Wednesday, June 28 at 1:00 pm at the Golay Senior Center. This month, they’ll be delving into “Stay” by Catherine Ryan Hyde. This novel explores themes of resilience, second chances, and the power of human connection. Get ready to join our wise and wonderful members as they discuss the intricate layers of this touching story. You’ll be amazed at the insights and wisdom shared during their meetings.

Whether you’re a seasoned book club aficionado or new to the scene, these gatherings are open to all. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow book lovers, engage in thought-provoking conversations, and broaden your literary horizons. You can get your copy of either book at the circulation desk.

Switch it Up Gaming Club meets Thursdays, June 15, 22, and 29 at 4:00 pm.  Tweens and teens are invited to participate in multi-player games like Mario Cart, Minecraft, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate on the library’s Nintendo Switch.  Participating in multi-player video games with other players in the same room instead of virtually helps develop social skills and teamwork skills.  The library’s Nintendo Switch was a gift from the Friends of the Cambridge City Public Library.

The campaign marches on! Join our Gamers’ Guild and immerse yourself in the world of Dungeons and Dragons! Our enthusiastic group meets June 19th and 26th. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Bring your little ones to our Mother Goose On The Loose story time every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Kim will entertain your child with delightful stories, songs, rhymes, and music. This interactive story time is suitable for all ages and no registration is required.

Does your child need some extra reading practice? Sign them up for PAWS for Reading, where they can read to a furry friend! Every Wednesday from 3:30-5:00, children can practice their reading skills by sharing a book with a non-judgmental canine friend. Call 765-478-3335 to reserve a spot and watch your child’s love for reading grow.
