It all starts with our Kick-off Party

Library fans know summertime is a fantastic time to visit the library! Experience all the fun as Morrisson-Reeves Library (MRL) kicks off its annual Summer Reading Program, “All Together Now,” on Saturday, June 3rd. Join the Summer Reading and Adventure Program, where you can earn prizes just for reading books.

Participants can pre-register online at MRLinfo.org or inside the library starting TODAY! On June 3rd, patrons can start tracking their reading and activities progress from their digital device, earn badges and prizes, play fun games, and learn valuable tips. The program is free and open to the public. It runs through Saturday, July 29.

Tracking you and your family’s reading progress is easy and quick with the online tracking system.

If you wish to track your reading in-person at the library, ask library staff to track things when you visit the library.

Your adventures begin June 3rd with a summer kick-off party with a giant, life-sized Madcap Puppet show! It’s Free! You can come early for the best seating.

MRL has free programs for all ages, including arts and crafts, story times, author visits, live music, even ballroom dance lessons, and Silly Safaris closes out the summer program with a live animal show on July 29th. Come early for the best seating choices.

Looking for family fun throughout the summer?

Various programs are offered for all ages, from pre-schoolers to teens to adults. A sampling of the programs provided are crafting for teens, storytimes, art programs, live music, author visits, reading clubs, and ballroom dance lessons. Explore the library’s family fun adventure “Where in the World” Scavenger Hunt. Seek and find the 7 continents throughout MRL in this summer-long scavenger hunt. Check back often as the hunt changes all summer long.
