Fossil Hunting Eco-Tour THIS Sunday

Dear WayneCounty.info,

Richmond, Indiana, is a fabulous place to find fossils of ancient sea creatures that lived 400 million years ago! Students Nathan Brophy, Alex Doyle, and Koen Arthaud-Day will lead us to the creeks and streams that run through back-campus to find fossils — and give tips on nearby places to find more!

When: THIS Sunday, Oct. 30th2-3:30pm

Who: This eco-tour favorite is FREE and open to all individuals, students and families! Hosted by the Joseph Moore Museum.

Where: Meet at Sadler Stadium (Earlham College Baseball Field) Parking Lot. To get to the stadium from Route 40 W, turn onto College Ave. Turn left onto SW G St, then right onto SW 5th St. Make a right onto Earlham Drive.

What to expect: Guests can expect to walk up to two miles in the woods. For optional creek walking, please wear shoes that can get wet. Stay tuned to our social media for rain/weather updates.

Curious to learn more? You can reach the museum at [email protected] or 765-983-1303. We look forward to hearing from you!
